Moving Forward in UNITY
Update from our Founder & CEO, Toni Brinker

“Christmas is most truly Christmas when we celebrate it by giving the light of love to those who need it most.” – Ruth Carter Stapleton.

In 2021, One CommunityUSA® has been very busy supporting and working alongside America’s courageous first responders and amazing community stakeholders who stepped up to help those that needed it the most. We have been humbled by the work of these amazing men and women in support of our mission to build safe, secure and thriving ‘Communities of Opportunities for all.’

We look forward to the coming year and promise to continue walking side-by-side with YOU, our frontline first responders, Veterans and commUNITY members. From all of us at One CommunityUSA®, we wish your family and you a Merry Christmas and a healthy, safe and prosperous New Year.

SHOP TALK | UNA COMUNIDAD

In 2021, our Shop Talk | UNA Comunidad programs expanded into 11 North Texas jurisdictions and continues to support the leadership of minority barbershop and beauty salon owners who advocate and support their local neighborhoods. In the past 6 weeks, these amazing owners, Town Talk Foods Arlington, Marine Corp Toys for Tots and area donors helped us provide hundreds of Thanksgiving meals and thousands of toys locally. Giving from the heart is always the best!

(HELPING OFFENDERS PURSUE EXCELLENCE)

Chaplain William “Wild Bill” Curry gives insight into the support that incarcerated Veterans and civilians need when returning to society. (National average: within 3 years of release, 67.8% of ex-offenders are rearrested. Without taking a successful transition management program 76.6% of offenders will be rearrested within 5 years).
